- North korea began with the establishment of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in 1948. In the aftermath of the Japanese occupation of Korea which ended with Japan's defeat in World War II in 1945, Korea was divided at the 38th parallel in accordance with a United Nations arrangement, to be administered by the Soviet Union in the north and the United States in the south. And then Korean War occured in June 25, 1950,and the war ended at the border in 1953. After the war North Korea based their government as communism, and South Korea based their government in Republic. Also, North Korea leader is all from same family. Kim il-Sung and Kim Jeong-il who is son of Kim il-Sung. North Korea has very communist government and had close relationship with China, so China aids North Korea. Nowadayds, since Kim Jeong-il gets older and weaker, he claimed as his successor as Kim Jeong-Eun who is son of Kim Jeong-il.
